How a build works, on paper.

The Front Door is free, and it stays yours

A Front Door is a finished one-page site at a private link, built before you have decided anything. There is no charge for it and no obligation attached to it. If you decide not to go ahead, the link stays up for a while anyway and we do not follow up more than once.

Fixed price, fixed scope

Before we start a full build we agree a price and a scope in writing: the pages, the features and the integrations. That price does not move. If you want something beyond the scope while we are building, we quote it separately, in writing, before doing it. Nothing gets added to the invoice that you did not say yes to.

Changes inside the scope, to wording, photos, sections and layout, are included. We show you each change before you decide.

What every build includes

• Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No page builder, no plugins to update, nothing that breaks when a vendor changes its mind.
• Hosting on Cloudflare, in an account you own.
• A sitemap, Google Search Console, Bing, structured data and analytics, all set up and verified before launch.
• If you have a site already, every old address redirected to the new one, so nothing you ranked for is lost.
• A privacy page and a terms page like these two.
• Your launch baseline recorded the day the site goes live, and the same numbers again at day 30 and day 90.
• Thirty days of fixes after launch, included.
• A named person, Caden, for everything after you sign.

You own everything

From day one the domain, the code, the hosting account, Search Console and analytics are in your name. If you ever stop working with us, you keep all of it and nothing stops working. We keep a copy of the code so we can help you later if you ask.

Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use the photos, logos, words and business facts you give us. We confirm the business facts, such as hours and prices, against your own records before launch. We never invent a review or a testimonial, and we will not publish one you cannot stand behind.

Payment

The timing of payment is set out in your written agreement. We do not take a deposit before you have seen the Front Door, and we do not invoice for anything you did not agree to in writing.

The care plan

The care plan is a monthly report against your launch baseline plus small edits. It is offered after you have seen the day-30 report, and it starts only when you say yes in writing. It never starts on its own. It is billed month by month, and it stops when you tell Caden to stop it.

What we do not promise

We do not promise a ranking, a number of leads, or a result by a date. We record where you start, we build properly, and we report what changed in plain words with the source for every number. The results we publish about other clients are those clients’ real numbers, with their permission.
